Such Great Heights

I think I'm officially getting my apartment! :) Here's hoping all the paperwork runs through just fine and that everything is all set to go. I am really excited!

My childhood friend Ryan and I were hanging out and we went to this little, local shop. I saw an awesome pair of black gloves with steel inserts in the knuckles; lol, would be good fighting gloves...if I ever wanted to fight. However, I am so verbal when it comes to conflict that I could only see these gloves being used to crack open a walnut or something, lol.  :) That's fine by me. They're still awesome.

I have this weird bruise on my leg and I have no clue how it got there. I don't recall hitting my leg against anything but it's a pretty intense bruise. I hope it fades relatively soon cause it's not very nice looking, lol.

Omg...I just realized--- I will have my own address! lol...I know, dorky realization..but it's pretty exciting! A place to call my own and to have privacy; yay!

I just had one slice of mushroom pizza and then several cheese raviolis for lunch. Did I ever mention how much I enjoy food that contains cheese and sauce? So good 8-).

So, I am slowly but surely coming up with a list of goals/things I'd like to do:

  • Cage dive with a great white shark
  • Scuba dive in a reef zone to look at a bunch of tropical fish/critters, lol.
  • Fly in a hot air balloon (again)
  • Try to go on more roller coasters...eek! lol
  • Volunteer at an animal shelter for at least a day...it's really my way of getting to pet a bunch of cute cats, lol.
  • Learn how to dance (ballroom, contra, salsa, breakdance, you name it!)
  • Try out voice acting
  • Draw for at least 1 childrens book.
  • Pick up flute again
  • Learn the harp and acoustic guitar
  • Travel somewhere outside of the U.S.
  • Visit CA and FL again
  • Get back into a swimming routine
  • Be able to run a 5k...(my initial goal at this point is to even run a mile, haha.)
  • More goals to be announced!!.......

WAYLA

Been so busy lately. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Trying to figure out my living situation for this Fall (looking for apartments).

I got into my pre-medical/post-baccalaureate program! I am really excited about it and proud; only 8 were accepted across the two programs...so I am officially 1 of ~4 in my program.

I am also planning an East Coast trip for the summer. I am not sure where I want to go yet exactly but I know want to visit some old friends in the process. We shall seee.......

On today's schedule: hanging out with my sister and looking into apartments more. Then...CPT with Andy :). Love you dear <3.

In the Zone Zone Zone Zone

So...my car decided to sleep today, lol; it wouldn't start. Joy of joys.

I am thinking/hoping this is a simple car battery issue and not something more complicated and expensive (aka--the alternator...AGAIN). lol.

Right now I am snuggled up next to my keety Chesso, and am thinking about how I should be doing some reading for my EMT course.

I went to the grocery store today with my Mom and as we were checking out I went to return the shopping cart. Now, I don't know if anyone else experiences this when they attempt to return a shopping cart...but, I tried to push it into the line of other shopping carts and it wouldn't fit! That ALWAYS happens. Is there some special mechanism or trick involved here? I want to know the secret, lol. I always look so awkward when I try to push the shopping cart into the line of other carts because it just ricochets back out or slides in halfway.

This weekend I was hoping to attend another EMT course to observe and partake in practical practice (that sounded a little redundant, now didn't it?); however, given the car situation...I don't know how likely that will be. *flompa chompa clompa cloob*.

On the plus side! We picked up three different, delicious flavors of ice cream at the store and I can't wait to have some! (especially on the pie we Also got...). We picked up an unusual amount of junk food today but I am glad!

Awesome Experience

My first ride time in the ambulance was amazing! I learned so much from the paramedic/EMT I worked with and it really put into perspective the things we talk about in the course.

This experience has inspired me tenfold to be a part of the medical field. To see the importance and value of their work to the patient really opened my eyes and amazed me. I truly admire the work that they put into this and the care they provide to patients.
